Use supercharged diesel engine oil that meets the requirements as specified in the supercharger operation manual (generally using CD grade advanced lubricating oil), regularly check the quantity and quality of the oil, promptly replace deteriorated or excessively dirty oil, clean or replace the oil filter, and ensure a high degree of cleanliness of the oil.

2. Ensure high cleanliness of diesel engine intake air.

It is necessary to maintain the tightness of the intake and exhaust pipes of the supercharged diesel engine, regularly clean and maintain the air filter, check whether the fastening nuts or bolts are loose, whether the rubber hose clamps are clamped, and check whether there is air leakage in the intake system. If necessary, replace the sealing gasket to strictly prevent dust and sediment from being sucked into the compressor. Otherwise, dirt can easily lead to contamination of air filter wall plugs, compressor passages, and turbocharger blades, resulting in a decrease in boost pressure, and even early wear of blades and diesel engine parts.

3. After a new diesel engine or turbocharger is replaced, it is necessary to add "pilot oil" before starting.

For a new diesel engine or after replacing the supercharger, before starting, it is necessary to remove the oil inlet pipe connector on the supercharger and fill 50-60mL of engine oil to prevent the supercharger bearing from burning due to lack of oil at the moment of starting.

4. Before starting a diesel engine, it is necessary to crank the crankshaft for several revolutions to ensure lubrication. If possible, it should be started after the engine oil has filled the oil filter and the entire lubrication system and the oil pressure has stabilized. Otherwise, the turbocharger bearing may be damaged due to a lack of lubrication during startup, because when the diesel engine is running off load and the turbocharger speed is high, even if the turbocharger bearing is insufficiently supplied with oil for a few seconds, the bearing will be damaged.
