What are the Advantages of EFI Diesel Generator

The electronic injection diesel generator  adopts electronic control of fuel injection and emission. The electronic fuel injection diesel injection system consists of three parts: a sensor, an ECU (computer), and an actuator. Its task is to electronically control the fuel injection system, achieving real-time control of the fuel injection quantity and timing according to the operating conditions. Sensors such as speed, injection time, intake temperature, intake pressure, fuel temperature, and cooling water temperature are used to input the real-time detected parameters into the computer (ECU) simultaneously, Compare with the stored set parameter values or parameter maps (MAP maps), and after processing and calculation, send the instructions to the actuator according to the optimal value or calculated target value. The actuator controls the fuel injection quantity (solenoid valve closing duration) and fuel injection timing (timing control valve opening/closing or solenoid valve closing starting point) according to the ECU instructions, while also controlling the exhaust gas recirculation valve, preheating plug, and other actuator mechanisms to achieve the best operating state of the diesel engine.


1.Fuel injection pressure

The electric regulator directly injects diesel into the cylinder through a traditional high-pressure pump, and its injection pressure is limited by the pressure valve on the fuel injector. After the fuel pressure in the high-pressure fuel pipe reaches the set value of the pressure valve, it directly opens the valve and injects it into the cylinder. Due to the influence of mechanical manufacturing, the pressure of the pressure valve cannot be very high.


The electronic fuel injection machine first generates high-pressure oil from the high-pressure oil pump in the high-pressure oil chamber of the fuel injector. The fuel injection of the fuel injector is controlled by a solenoid valve. When fuel injection is needed, the electronic control system controls the solenoid valve to open and inject the high-pressure oil into the cylinder. The pressure of the high-pressure oil is not affected by the pressure valve and can be greatly increased. The diesel injection pressure can be increased from 100MPa to 180MPa. Such a high injection pressure can significantly improve the mixing quality of diesel and air, shorten the ignition delay period, Make combustion faster and more thorough, and control combustion temperature to reduce exhaust emissions.

2.Independent injection pressure control

The injection pressure of the high-pressure oil pump fuel supply system of the electric governor is related to the speed and load of the diesel engine. This characteristic is unfavorable for fuel economy and emissions under low speed and partial load conditions.


The fuel supply system of the EFI engine has the ability to control the injection pressure independent of speed and load, so that the most appropriate injection pressure can be selected to optimize the injection duration and ignition delay period, so that the exhaust emissions of the diesel generator under various working conditions are the lowest and the economy is the best.


3.Independent fuel injection timing control

The high-pressure pump of the electric regulator is driven by the camshaft of the engine, and its injection timing directly depends on the rotation angle of the camshaft. After a machine is adjusted, its injection timing is fixed and unchanged.

The injection timing of the electronic injection machine is completely adjusted by the electromagnetic valve controlled by the electronic control system. The injection timing control ability that does not rely on the machine's rotation is a key measure to achieve the best balance between fuel consumption rate and emissions. After years of research, experts have found that different injection times are required under different load conditions to produce the best efficiency.


4.Quick fuel cut-off capability

At the end of injection, the fuel must be cut off quickly. If the fuel cannot be cut off quickly, diesel injected at low pressure will emit black smoke due to insufficient combustion, increasing HC emissions.

The high-speed electromagnetic on-off valve used on the fuel injector of an electronic fuel injection diesel engine is easy to achieve rapid fuel cut-off. However, the high-pressure oil pump of an electronic diesel engine cannot achieve this.


5.Speed control execution mode

Electric speed regulation generator set is a governor that feeds back the speed signal of the machine through a speed sensor. The governor converts the difference into a speed regulation signal by comparing the pre-set speed value to drive the actuator to control the oil supply rack or sliding sleeve to achieve speed regulation. The oil supply signal solely relies on the speed signal, and adjusting the oil supply quantity is achieved by the mechanical action of the actuator.


The electronic fuel injection machine uses sensors such as speed, injection time, intake temperature, intake pressure, fuel temperature, and cooling water temperature to simultaneously input real-time detected parameters into a computer (ECU), compare them with stored set parameter values or parameter maps, and after processing and calculation, send instructions to the actuator (solenoid valve) according to the optimal value or calculated target value.
