Features of YC6TD780-D31 engine

• The main structures, such as engine body, are time-tested, which ensures the high reliability of the whole engine.

• Advanced and mature electronic unit pump and high-efficient turbocharged&intercooled technologies are adopted, which ensure precise control of fuel-injection quantity and sufficient air intake; and the full combustion, low fuel consumption and less emission of diesel engine under different load conditions are ensured.

• Full-flow oil cooler is adopted; thus heat dissipation efficiency is increased by 30% and oil temperature is effectively reduced; and the oil can lubricate the parts under reasonable temperature to reduce the friction loss.

The gensets are equipped with a silent canopy, which is made of 2mm thick galvanized steel sheet. The canopy is corrosion resistant and ideal for indoor and outdoor projects. It can protect the diesel generators from bad weather, dust and sabotage. The generator enclosure can also reduce the noise produced by the generator effectively. These silent diesel generators can operate with a noise level of 75 dBA at 7 meters.

The gensets are equipped with Shanghai Stamford alternators, which meet the requirements of international high quality generator standards. Their insulation Class is H, which can meet harsh environmental requirements. The degree of enclosure protection of the alternators is IP23. The first number 2 indicates that an object bigger than 12.5mm diameter, for example a finger, cannot enter the alternator and touch anything either moving or electrically live. The second number 3 indicates that the alternator’s ventilation openings are designed to provide protection from falling liquids, for example rain water, which may be blown by the wind towards the alternator at some 600 from the vertical.
