The radiator of 1000kw diesel generator is an important component of the water-cooled engine. As an important component of the heat dissipation circuit of the water-cooled engine, it can absorb the heat of the cylinder block and prevent the engine from overheating.


When the water temperature of the diesel generator set engine is high, the water pump circulates repeatedly to reduce the temperature of the engine. The water tank is composed of hollow copper pipes. High temperature water enters the water tank and circulates to the engine cylinder wall after air cooling, so as to protect the engine. If the water temperature is too low in winter, the water circulation will be stopped at this time to avoid the engine temperature of diesel generator set being too low.


How to drain water from radiator of 1000KW diesel generator?

Because the external ambient temperature is too low, the cooling water should be discharged when the water temperature drops after 15 minutes of shutdown, rather than immediately. Otherwise, some parts of the diesel generator set will be deformed due to the excessive temperature difference between the fuselage and the external environment, which will affect the service performance of the diesel engine (such as cylinder head deformation).

When the cooling water stops flowing out, it is best to rotate the diesel generator set for a few more revolutions. At this time, the remaining and difficult cooling water will flow away due to the vibration of the diesel engine, so as to prevent the water plug on the cylinder head from being frozen off and the cooling water will flow into the oil shell in the future.


At the same time, it should also be noted that if the water drain switch is not removed, the water drain switch should be turned on after the water drain is completed, so as to prevent unnecessary losses caused by the fact that the remaining cooling water cannot flow out for a time due to various reasons and freeze the corresponding parts of the diesel engine.


When discharging water, do not turn on the water discharge switch and leave it alone. Pay attention to the specific condition of the water flow to see whether the water flow is smooth and whether the water flow becomes smaller or faster and slower. If these conditions occur, it means that the cooling water contains impurities, which hinders the normal outflow of water. At this time, it is best to remove the water drain switch to let the cooling water flow directly from the body. If the water flow is still not smooth, then use hard and slender steel objects such as iron wire to dredge until the water flow is smooth.


What are the correct drainage precautions of diesel generator:


1. Open the water tank cover when discharging water. If the water tank cover is not opened during water discharge, although part of the cooling water can flow out, with the reduction of the water volume in the radiator, a certain vacuum will be generated due to the sealing of generator water tank radiator, which will slow down or stop the water flow. In winter, the parts will be frozen due to unclean water discharge.


2. It is not advisable to drain water immediately at high temperature. Before the engine shuts down, if the engine temperature is very high, do not shut down immediately to drain water. First remove the load and make it idle. Drain water when the water temperature drops to 40-50 ℃, so as to prevent the temperature of the outer surface of the cylinder block, cylinder head and water jacket in contact with water from suddenly falling and shrinking due to sudden drainage. The temperature inside the cylinder block is still very high and the shrinkage is small. It is very easy to crack the cylinder block and cylinder head due to the excessive temperature difference between inside and outside.


3. In cold winter, idle the engine after draining water. In cold winter, after draining the cooling water in the engine, start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. This is mainly because some water may remain in the water pump and other parts after draining. After restart, the residual water in the water pump can be dried by the body temperature to ensure that there is no water in the engine and prevent water leakage caused by freezing of the water pump and tearing of the water seal.
