A. Causes of bearing damage of 200 kW generator used in factory


1. Bearing spalling is mainly due to fatigue damage. Because the magnitude and direction of the load on the bearing change with time, when the load is unstable, a uniform and continuous oil film can not be maintained between the bearing friction surfaces, and the pressure of the oil film is also fluctuating. When the oil film thickness is small, high temperature occurs in the local area of the bearing surface, which greatly reduces the fatigue strength of the alloy layer. In addition, the poor manufacturing and assembly of the bearing itself is also the direct cause of the peeling of the alloy layer.


2. In addition to wear and peeling, the corrosion of sliding bearings should also be paid attention to, which mainly depends on the quality, temperature, pressure and bearing load of engine oil. The high load parts of the bearing are prone to corrosion, and the organic acids and sulfides generated by the deterioration of the lubricating oil at high temperature are the direct causes of bearing corrosion.

3. The main reasons for the burning loss of bearings, commonly known as bush burning, are too small clearance, poor lubrication and problems in operation.

B. Maintenance method of 200 kW generator bearing used in factory

1. During the maintenance of the generator set, pay attention to the sliding bearing lubricated by the oil ring. The oil quantity of the bearing should be counted. Generally, it is not injected during operation.

When the oil volume is below the specified liquid level, the bearing shall not throw oil to avoid splashing on the winding. Samples of lubricating oil shall be taken out regularly for inspection. If the oil color becomes dark, turbid, and there is water or dirt, it shall be replaced. When the bearing is hot, replace it with new oil.


2. Generally, the oil shall be changed every 250-400 working hours, but at least every half a year. When changing the oil, clean the bearing with kerosene and then brush it with gasoline before injecting new lubricating oil. For motors with ball or roller bearings, the grease needs to be replaced when running for about 2000h. When the bearing is used in dusty and humid environment, the lubricating oil shall be changed frequently according to the situation.


3. Before starting a generator that has been out of service for a long time: if a rolling bearing is installed, its lubrication state must be checked first. If the original lubricating grease is dirty or hardened and deteriorated, the bearing must be washed first and then cleaned with gasoline. Fill in clean grease. The filling amount is 2/3 of the bearing chamber space, and it is not allowed to fill too much.


C. Maintenance of 200kW generator for plant

Daily maintenance:

1. Check the daily work report of 200kW generator used in the factory.

2. Check the diesel generator: oil level and coolant level.

3. Daily check the diesel generator for damage and leakage, and whether the belt is loose or worn.

Weekly maintenance:

1. Repeat the daily factory inspection of 200kW generator.

2. Check the air filter, clean or replace the air filter core.

3. Drain water or deposits from the fuel tank and fuel filter.

4. Check the water filter.

5. Check the starter battery.

6. Start the diesel generator and check for effects.

7. Clean the cooling fins at the front and rear ends of the cooler with air gun and clean water.
