1. Increase the temperature of cooling water of diesel generator set.

The increase in cooling water temperature can increase the temperature of the generator body, not only promoting the complete combustion of diesel, but also reducing the viscosity of the oil, thereby reducing the resistance to movement and achieving fuel efficiency.

2. Purification treatment before using oil.

About 60% of the faults of the diesel generator set come from the oil supply system, so before adding oil to the generator set, the treatment method is as follows: the purchased diesel oil can be put aside for sedimentation for about 2-4 days before use, which can precipitate about 98% of the impurities. If it is bought and used now, two layers of silk cloth or toilet paper can be placed at the oil filler screen of the oil tank. The purpose of Cummins diesel generator set to treat the oil is to make the diesel generator set fuel more fully.

3. Do not overload within the rated power range.

When using a generator set, it is best to keep it within its rated power and avoid overloading it to achieve fuel efficiency. Overloading not only affects the lifespan of the generator set, but also greatly increases fuel consumption. Generally, the load rate should be controlled at a reasonable level, with a load rate between 50% and 80% being more fuel-efficient.

4. Increase the belt pulley of the diesel engine and transform it into a large horse pulling a small car.

Properly increasing the diesel engine pulley can increase the speed of the water pump when the diesel generator set is running at a reduced speed, so as to increase the flow and lift, thus achieving the purpose of energy conservation.

5. Timely clean up carbon deposits and maintain the air filter element.

Due to the high temperature generated by the relevant components of the diesel genset during combustion operation, the ash carbon polymer will adhere to the valves, fuel injection nozzles and other places. If not cleaned in time, it will increase fuel consumption and seriously affect the normal operation of the engine.

6. Regularly check the valve clearance and air filter element of the diesel engine set.

If the valve clearance of the diesel generator set is not correct, the intake air will be insufficient and the exhaust air will not be clean, which will inevitably lead to operating failures such as insufficient power and black smoke of the diesel engine. At the same time, the fuel consumption will also increase significantly. If the air filter element is too dirty, similar conditions will occur, so regular inspection is required.

7. Ensure that the gensets does not leak oil.

The oil delivery pipe of diesel generator is often uneven due to the joint surface, and the gasket is deformed or damaged. The treatment method is to paint the gasket with valve paint and put it on the glass plate and grind it flat. The oil pipe joint is positive, and a diesel recovery device is added. The plastic pipe can be used to connect the oil return pipe on the nozzle with the hollow screw to make the oil return flow into the oil tank.

8. Maintain good fuel supply angle.

If the fuel supply angle deviates, it will cause the fuel supply time to be too late and fuel consumption to increase significantly.
