What Can We Do When The Generator Cooling Water Temperature Is High

Gas generator failure type and cause analysis  

Symptom: When the station controller on duty finds that the water temperature of the gas generator is too high, relevant personnel go to the site immediately to check the generator set.  The cooling system such as fan is normal, and the control panel has no alarm.  Half an hour later, the upper computer alarm, gas generator cooling water temperature is high, resulting in shutdown.  

Analysis of the cause of high cooling water temperature: the cooling water temperature is about 89℃ when the gas generator is in normal operation. When the load increases substantially, the cooling water temperature rises immediately and exceeds the critical value, resulting in alarm and shutdown.  

Analysis of other reasons :(1) scaling phenomenon exists in cooling water pipe, resulting in poor cooling water cooling;  (2) The cooling fan motor is damaged and heat dissipation is poor;  (3) The thermostat is stuck or not opened for other reasons;  (4) Leakage of cooling water pipe or joint reduces the natural loss level of cooling water, resulting in loss of cooling water;  (5) The cooling water temperature sensor is faulty, resulting in inaccurate detection results.  

The power conversion module is faulty  

Symptom: The field gas generator wizard control panel displays an inverse power fault alarm and shutdown.  The generator power curve of the station - controlled upper computer appears abnormal jump at the moment of shutdown.  

Cause: Personnel check the onsite wiring cabinet and power conversion module. The 4-20 mA output is faulty.  After analysis, the power converter may fail due to impulse current.  

Motor control failure  

Symptom: Motor control failure fault alarm information is displayed on the wizard control screen.  

Cause analysis: According to the information on the display screen, open the motor control cabinet of the gas generator set, and check the loose wiring and other component damage.  After testing IMO TDMD-X delay relay, it was found that the delay relay ATR failed to pull and close properly after the specified time of power on, which was confirmed as delay relay failure.  After replacing the delay relay, the gas generator runs normally.  

Other causes: The cooling fan is faulty.  Because the cooling fan runs for a long time, the bearing may be deformed, and the fan does not work, which will also cause the motor control fault alarm.
