A key requirement for this project was the integration of a sophisticated protection system. The Cummins generator set is fitted with an over/under voltage shunt relay. This crucial safety feature is designed to protect connected equipment. In the event of an over-voltage or under-voltage condition—often indicative of an overload—this relay will trip the main circuit breaker, disconnecting the load from the generator.

Importantly, the system is configured to set an alarm without initiating an immediate engine shutdown. This allows the controller to subsequently manage a controlled and smooth engine shutdown process. This soft shutdown protocol is critical as it prevents sudden, complete stoppage, thereby reducing stress on the engine components and ensuring a more graceful power transition, which is vital for the overall health and longevity of the unit.

The generator set comes fully equipped with a comprehensive suite of sensors monitoring critical parameters including engine temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, frequency, current, voltage, RPM, and fuel level, alongside a cooling system alarm for complete operational oversight.

The unit is equipped with a substantial 1200-liter base fuel tank and includes essential components like an oil heater and a water jacket heater for optimal performance in varying climates.
