Cause Analysis of 250kw Silent Diesel Generator without Speed

When there is different performance, the reasons will be different.

1. In case of automatic flameout, the speed gradually decreases, and there is no abnormal sound of diesel generator operation and color of exhaust smoke.

The main reason may be:

The diesel is used up or the fuel tank vent, fuel filter and fuel transfer pump are blocked. Or the fuel circuit is not sealed with air, resulting in air resistance (unstable speed before flameout). At this time, check the low-pressure oil circuit, first check whether the oil tank, filter, oil tank switch and oil transfer pump are blocked, lack of oil or the switch is not opened, then loosen the air screw on the fuel injection pump, press the fuel pump button, and observe the oil flow at the vent screw, If there is no oil flowing out, the oil circuit is blocked. If there are bubbles in the flowing oil, there is air in the oil circuit. Check and eliminate it section by section.

2. When automatic flameout, the operation is continuous and unstable, and there is abnormal knocking sound. The main reasons are that the piston pin is broken, the crankshaft is broken, the connecting rod bolt is broken or loose, the valve circlip and valve key fall off, and the valve stem or valve spring is broken, resulting in valve fall off, etc. When the diesel generator is running, once this condition is found in the unit, it shall be shut down for inspection immediately to avoid major mechanical accidents. It can be sent to the professional maintenance point for comprehensive inspection.

3. When the diesel generator of 250KW silent generator set shuts down automatically, the speed will slowly decrease, the operation is unstable, and the exhaust pipe emits white smoke.

The main reasons are that there is water in the diesel, the cylinder gasket is damaged, or the automatic decompression is damaged, etc. Replace the cylinder gasket and adjust the pressure reducing mechanism.

4. If there is no abnormality before automatic flameout, it will suddenly shut down.

The main reason is that the plunger or injector needle valve is stuck, the plunger spring or pressure spring is broken, the fuel injection pump control rod and its connecting pin fall off, and after the fixing bolts of the fuel injection pump drive shaft and drive plate are loosened, the keys on the shaft are cut flat due to looseness, resulting in the sliding of the drive shaft or main drive plate, so that the drive shaft can not drive the fuel injection pump.
