It is believed that all users who have used diesel generator sets know that diesel generator sets are mainly composed of diesel engines, alternators and control systems. Do you know what parts the altornator are composed of? Today, Dingbo Power will take you to have a detailed understanding of the five components of a altornator, their functions, and how it produces alternator.
1. Rotor
The rotor is composed of claw pole, magnetic yoke, excitation winding, slip ring, rotor shaft, etc. In a generator, the rotor is used to generate a magnetic field.
2. Stator
The stator is installed on the outside of the rotor and is fixed together with the front and rear end covers of the generator. When the rotor rotates inside, it causes changes in the magnetic flux in the stator winding and generates alternating induced electromotive force in the stator winding.
3. Rectifier
The rectifier of the alternator consists of a rectifier board and a rectifier diode. The function of a rectifier in a alternator is to convert the three-phase alternating current of the stator winding into direct current.
4. Voltage regulator
The voltage regulator is used to regulate the output voltage of the alternator.
5. End cover and brush assembly
The end cover is divided into a front end cover and a rear end cover, which play a role in supporting the rotor, stator, rectifier, and brush components.
The rear cover is equipped with a brush component, which is composed of a brush, a brush holder, and a brush spring. The electric brush introduces the power supply into the excitation winding through the slip ring, and the two electric brushes are installed in the holes of the brush holder respectively, using spring pressure to maintain contact with the slip ring.
When it comes to the diesel generator, you may think that the battery provides power for electrical equipment, and the battery only provides power to start the generator, rather than something that actually generates power. In fact, the alternator is the equipment that provides power for diesel generator.
The alternator in the diesel generator is an important part of it. The alternator is responsible for converting mechanical energy and then used to supply power to the alternator, or the alternator is actually used for any purpose, commonly seen in enterprises operating large venues. But not everyone is completely sure how the alternator works and how it works on the diesel generator it already depends on.
How are alternators produced?
In most cases, alternators are relatively small and lightweight. Most alternators in diesel generator will be made of aluminum housings because light metal will not be magnetized. This is important because aluminum can dissipate the enormous heat generated by the generation of electrical energy, and the rotor components generate a magnetic field.
The above is the knowledge related to alternators shared by Guangxi Dingbo Generator Set Manufacturing Co.,Ltd., hoping to be helpful to everyone. Dingbo Power, founded in 2006, is a diesel genset manufacturer integrating design, supply, commissioning and maintenance. It can customize 30KW-3000KW diesel generator sets of various specifications according to customer needs.
