1. Check and adjust the clearance of the intake and exhaust valve of the diesel generator.

Technical requirements (when cold):

Inlet valve clearance: 0.60±0.05mm.

Exhaust valve clearance: 0.65±0.05mm.

Check valve clearance.

The method of checking and adjusting the valve clearance of generating set is: turn the crankshaft to the compression top dead center position of the first cylinder. At this time, you can check and adjust the valves 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 10, and then turn the crankshaft through 360 °, at this time, you can check and adjust the 4th, 5th, 8, 9, 11, 12 valves.The valve clearance can be adjusted by adjusting the valve adjustment screw. When adjusting, first loosen the lock nut, use a screwdriver to properly unscrew the adjustment screw, insert the thickness gauge between the rocker arm bridge and the rocker arm, and then properly screw in the adjustment screw , Until the rocker arm just presses the thickness gauge, and then tighten the lock nut. The correct valve clearance should allow the thickness gauge to be inserted back and forth with slight resistance. Tighten the lock nut after meeting the requirements.

2. Check and replenish battery electrolyte.

Check the electrolyte level of the battery, and replenish it when it is insufficient.

3. Change the oil (the first level of maintenance for a new machine or engine after an overhaul).

For a new engine or a diesel generator after an overhaul, the oil should be changed for the first level of maintenance. The oil should be changed just after the engine has been stopped and after the engine has cooled down.

method:

（a) Remove the oil drain plug from the bottom of the side of the oil pan to discharge the engine oil. At this time, impurities are easily discharged together with the engine oil. The discharged waste oil should be collected to avoid environmental pollution.

（b) Check whether the sealing washer of the oil drain plug is damaged. If it is damaged, replace the sealing washer with a new one and tighten the torque as required.

（c) Fill new engine oil to the high mark on the oil dipstick.

（d) Start the engine and visually check for oil leakage.

（e) Stop the engine and wait for 15 minutes for the standby oil to flow back to the oil pan, then recheck the oil level of the dipstick. The oil should be immersed in the upper and lower scales of the oil dipstick near the upper scale, and should not be enough to add. If the oil pressure is found to be insufficient, the oil filter should be replaced.
