1. Mechanical governor: The sensing element of the mechanical governor is a flying block or ball, which directly drives the actuator. Simple structure, reliable operation, widely used in small and medium-sized diesel engines.

2. Hydraulic governor: Hydraulic governors generally use flying blocks as sensing elements to push and control the piston to operate the hydraulic servo. This type of governor has a small sensing element and strong versatility, which can be used in a few size series to meet the matching requirements of tens to tens of thousands of horsepower diesel engines. Good stability, good stability, high adjustment accuracy, large driving force, easy to achieve automatic control of diesel engines. However, due to its complex structure and high process requirements, it is suitable for high-power diesel engines.

The Function of Generator Set Governor

1. Large generator set control mechanism: The control mechanism is mainly composed of control handles, control shafts, and rocker rods. Its main function is to control the speed of the diesel engine by controlling the fuel supply volume of each sub pump plunger of the diesel engine fuel injection pump, and the adjustment of the fuel supply volume is achieved by changing the elastic force of the internal speed control spring of the speed regulator.

2. Transmission mechanism: The transmission mechanism is mainly composed of components such as speed control lever, roller, and pull rod screw. Its main function is to transmit the load changes sensed by the sensitive mechanism to the adjustment gear rod of the fuel injection pump. When the oil quantity adjustment gear rod is pulled, the oil supply quantity of each sub pump plunger inside the fuel injection pump will change.

3. Sensitive mechanism: The sensitive mechanism of the generator set mainly consists of a flying iron, a speed regulating spring, and a telescopic shaft. Its main function is to sense changes in speed or load and apply this change to the fuel injection pump oil quantity adjustment gear rod through the transmission mechanism. 4. Large generator set governor housing: The housing consists of two parts: the front housing and the rear housing, which are sealed and assembled into one body. There are oil filling ports and ventilation holes on the upper part of the governor, which are used to fill lubricating oil and keep the gas inside the governor housing in communication with the atmosphere. There are oil inspection holes and oil drain holes drilled in the lower part of the casing, which are usually sealed with screws.
