1. The coolant of the radiator of the generator set in operation is usually very hot and under pressure. Do not clean the radiator or remove the pipe when it is not cooled. Do not work on the radiator or open the fan protective cover when the fan is rotating.

2. Prevent corrosion problems.

Always keep the pipe joint free of leakage, and regularly add water and discharge air from the top of the radiator to keep the system airless. The radiator should not be in the condition of partial drainage, because it will accelerate corrosion. For diesel generator radiator that does not work, the water shall be completely evacuated or filled. If possible, use distilled water or natural soft water and add an appropriate amount of antirust agent.

3. External cleaning.

In a dusty environment, the gap of the radiator may be blocked by debris and insects, which will affect the efficiency of the radiator. You can often spray these light deposits with low-pressure hot water and detergent, and spray steam or water from the radiator to the fan. If sprayed from the opposite direction, it will only blow dirt into the center. When using this method, use a cloth to block the diesel engine and alternator. For stubborn deposits that cannot be removed by the above methods, remove the radiator, soak it in hot alkaline water for 20 minutes, and then rinse it with hot water.

4. Internal cleaning.

If the joint leaks and is cleaned by hard water irrigation for a period of time, or the power generation runs for a period of time without rust remover, the system may be blocked by scale. In this case, only scale can be removed.
