Diesel generator set is an indispensable power generation equipment in modern production process. It is a complex equipment composed of base and end cover, end cover, stator core, stator winding, rotor, power collection, brush and brush holder, control system, starting system, cooling system and other components. The following is a brief introduction to the functions of these components by Dingbo Power.

1.Frame And End cover:The main function of generator base is to support and fix iron core, winding and other components. The whole iron core is installed and fixed on the foundation through it, and an air duct and air chamber as a cooling and ventilation system are also set.The space between the casing of the base and the back of the iron core is part of the ventilation system. The machine base adopts the overall anti vibration structure, including the inner machine base and the outer machine base. Elastic vibration isolation devices are installed between the inner and outer machine bases.In addition, the enclosure has high sealing requirements, and thick steel plates are generally used.

2. End cap:The generator end cover is used to protect the stator end winding and is also an integral part of the generator seal. In order to facilitate installation and maintenance, the end cover is divided into two parts in the horizontal direction, and a shutdown inspection manhole is set on it.Similarly, explosion proof and sealing are still the basic requirements for the end cover.

3. Stator core:Generator stator core is an important part of generator excitation circuit and fixed stator winding. Its mass and loss account for a large proportion in the total mass and loss of the generator.Generally, the stator core of large generator is 30% of the total weight of the generator, and the iron loss is about 15% of the total loss of the generator.In order to reduce the hysteresis and eddy current loss of stator core. Stator is often used with high permeability. It is made of silicon steel sheets with low loss.

4. Stator winding:The generator stator winding is connected by many bars. After each wire rod is braided and glued with copper wire, it is wrapped with insulating tape for hot pressing. Each winding bar is divided into linear part and end involute part.The end part plays the role of connection, connecting each bar according to a certain law to form the generator stator winding.

5. Rotor:Generator rotor is one of the main components of generator. It is mainly composed of rotor core, rotor winding, retaining ring, central ring, collector ring, fan and other components.The rotor core is generally forged from alloy steel with good magnetic conductivity and sufficient mechanical strength. The rotor winding is generally made of copper or copper silver alloy conductor material with improved mechanical properties.

6. Collector.Collector ring, commonly known as slip ring, is divided into positive and negative rings. In order to shorten the distance between bearing support points and reduce the diameter and circumferential speed of the collector ring, the collector ring is installed outside the bearing of the generator.The excitation current flows into the rotor winding through the rotating collector ring by the static brush. The function of the retaining ring is to compress the rotor end winding on the rotating shaft. The retaining ring can fix and protect the rotor winding to prevent deformation, displacement and throw out.One end of the heat sleeve is on the rotor body; The other end is fixed on the central ring, and the material is often high resistance, non-magnetic alloy cold forged steel that can bear great stress. The rotor of large capacity generator adopts suspended retaining ring.The central ring plays the role of fixing and supporting the retaining ring, concentric with the shaft, and preventing the axial displacement of the end winding. The material is generally chromium manganese magnetic forged steel.

7. Brush and brush holder:The generator brush is an integral part of the excitation circuit. It can

deliver the excitation current to the excitation winding through the collector ring.

There are generally three kinds of brush materials: graphite brush; Electrochemical graphite brush; Metal graphite brush. Only one brush of the same type can be used for one generator.

The brush holder of the generator is used to fix and support the brush holder and the brush. The brush holder plays the role of positioning the brush.

8. Control system:The control system of the generator is like the brain of the generator, which is used to control the startup, shutdown, important parameter measurement, fault alarm, shutdown protection and other functions of the generator.The use of intelligent control system will greatly improve the operation of diesel generator set, ensure the stable work of diesel generator set, save human and material resources and improve work efficiency.

9. Start the system:The starter, also known as the motor, converts the electric energy of the battery into mechanical energy and drives the engine flywheel to rotate to start the engine.

10. Cooling system:Generally, the water tank matched by the diesel engine manufacturer is used. The standard is air-cooled closed water circulating water tank, and the ambient temperature is 40 ℃.
