(1) When the cooling water temperature of the water tank is too low, the temperature of the lubricating oil decreases, the viscosity of the oil is large when the temperature is low, and its fluidity becomes worse, which not only increases the wear of the parts of the diesel generator, but also increases the mechanical power loss due to the increase of the motion resistance of the parts, and the output power of the diesel generator will be reduced.

 

(2) If the ambient temperature is too low, the cylinder temperature will be very low, and the water vapor in the cylinder is easy to condense on the cylinder wall. When the sulfur dioxide generated by diesel generator combustion meets the water condensed on the cylinder wall, it will become a strong line of corrosive agent and adhere to the cylinder wall. Therefore, the surface of the cylinder wall will be strongly corroded, resulting in loose metal structure on its surface; When the cylinder liner and piston ring rub and scrape each other, the loose metal on the surface of the corrosion layer will wear and fall off quickly, or there will be corrosion spots and pits on the working surface of the cylinder liner.

(3) With the increase of heat loss and fuel consumption, when the diesel generator works at low temperature, the cooling water takes away a large amount of heat energy in the cylinder, increasing its heat loss; The mixture cannot form and burn well, and the fuel consumption will increase by 8% ~ 10%; After the fuel in the form of droplets enters the cylinder, it will flush the lubricating oil film on the cylinder wall and penetrate into the crankcase to increase the wear of parts, dilute the lubricating oil in the oil pan, increase fuel consumption and reduce power output.

 

(4) The combustion deteriorates and the performance of the whole machine deteriorates. Some heated and expanded parts do not expand to their due size due to too low temperature, which affects the working performance of the whole machine, such as too large gap between piston and cylinder and poor sealing; The valve clearance is too large and is impacted by the rocker arm, which makes it difficult for the diesel generator to start. When the diesel engine is working, the high temperature of compressed gas is a necessary condition to ensure fuel ignition. When the temperature of cylinder, piston and other parts decreases, it will cause the temperature drop at the end of compression, ignition delay and deterioration of combustion conditions, resulting in incomplete fuel combustion, rough operation of diesel generator and exhaust smoke.
