Which is Better, Air-cooled Generator or Water-cooled Generator

The diesel generator set will generate a lot of heat during normal operation. Too much heat will cause the temperature of the unit to rise, which will affect the work efficiency. Therefore, the cooling system should be equipped in the unit to reduce the temperature of the unit. At present, the common generator set cooling systems include air cooling and water cooling. Air cooled generator.

1. The engine must be air-cooled by the supporting radiator.

2. Radiators shall be sub mounted on specially designed and approved supports.

3. The radiator must be equipped with a flange joint of the ventilation pipe so that the ventilation pipe can be attached to the radiator. An air duct with flexible connector shall be installed between the radiator and the metal louver. Pipes shall be made of galvanized sheet steel. All pipes shall have sealed joints.

4. The fan must have sufficient capacity and take into account the additional resistance of air flow through ducts and louvers.

Water cooled generator.

1. The engine must be water-cooled by a supporting radiator, including belt driven fan, coolant pump, thermostat controlled liquid cooled exhaust pipe, intercooler, corrosion-resistant coolant filter suitable for local conditions.

2. Radiators shall be sub mounted on specially designed and approved supports.

3. The radiator shall be equipped with a flange joint of the ventilation pipe so that the ventilation pipe can be attached to the radiator.
