Big Power Cummins QSK95 Series Engine

In the seventh year of the birth of the first Cummins QSK95 engine, the 2000th set of QSK95 engine was welcomed in the Seymour Cummins plant, Indiana USA in 2022.

This momentous QSK95 engine will be transported to South Korea, together with 18 sets of C3000D6 (driven by QSK78) and 2 sets of DMC8000 main control cabinets, to provide data center related services for the local influential search engine optimization and web portal company-Naver. 

Cummins QSK95 engine has a cylinder diameter of 190mm and a stroke of 210mm. The modular high-pressure common rail fuel system makes the engine have lower noise and vibration. The advanced design provides more convenience for the maintenance of the engine, and the use of new materials makes the engine more durable. This model not only has many advantages such as small size, light weight and good transient response, but also can compete with the medium speed machine in output power. 

Cummins QSK95 engine has been widely used in many fields since its birth. In terms of marine applications, QSK95 fully meets the requirements of the second phase of the international maritime organization. On the offshore floating production storage and unloading ship (FPSO), QSK95 generator sets are equipped to escort the efficient operation of FPSO. 

Not only that, QSK95 also has quite good applications in railway transportation. After adopting QSK95, the superior performance of 4400 HP high-speed engine perfectly matches the demand of railway freight market in the region. Several QSK95 products meeting the four stage emission standard have been delivered to Siemens, providing high-quality power for the U.S. railway passenger transport market. Trains driven by QSK95 can be seen speeding on the railway in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington, Miami and other cities. 

The application of QSK95 in power is also quite bright. Pakistan's Qasim port terminal has its own power station, which adopts 5 sets of QSK95 series Cummins power high-voltage generator sets to ensure the stable power supply for the daily operation of the port. A Cummins power C3500D5 6.3kV unit of QSK95 platform is also used in Xiaomen base of China National combustion Huadian Energy Co., Ltd. to provide emergency standby power for it, so as to ensure the power stability of its LPG low-temperature storage and transportation facilities.
