How to Control Excessive Noise of 500kW Diesel Generator Set

With the rapid development of China's economy, the application scope of 500kw diesel generator set in many fields, such as communication, construction, commerce, industrial and mining enterprises, is expanding day by day. At present, diesel generator sets are generally divided into imported diesel generator sets and domestic diesel generator sets. Generally, a 500kW imported diesel generator set can produce 105~108dB (A) of noise in the machine room. Generally, it is a Class I area in the urban area, and the limit standard is 55dB (A) in the daytime and 45dB (A) at night; Most of the suburbs are Class II areas, and the corresponding limit standard is 60dB (A) in the daytime and 50dB (A) at night. It can be seen from the comparison data that the required noise reduction range is large, and the corresponding control technology is also very difficult. 1. Air inlet and exhaust noise reduction. The air inlet channel and exhaust channel of the machine room shall be respectively provided with sound insulation walls, and the air inlet channel and exhaust channel shall be provided with sound attenuation pieces. There is a certain distance in the channel for buffering, which can reduce the intensity of sound source radiation from the machine room to the outside.


2. Control of mechanical noise. Sound absorbing and insulating materials with high sound absorption coefficient are laid on the top and surrounding walls of the machine room, which are mainly used to eliminate indoor reverberation and reduce the sound energy density and reflection intensity in the machine room. In order to prevent the noise from radiating outwards through the large area, set fire and sound insulation iron doors.


3. Smoke exhaust noise control. The smoke exhaust system is equipped with a special secondary muffler on the basis of the original primary muffler, which can ensure the effective control of smoke exhaust noise of the diesel generator set. If the length of smoke exhaust pipe exceeds 10m, the pipe diameter shall be increased to reduce the exhaust back pressure of diesel generator set.
