The air intake mode of diesel generator set can be divided into naturally aspirated and turbocharged. Make preparations before starting the generator set:

1. Clean the dust, water trace, rust and other foreign matters attached to the generator set, and remove the oil and ash scale in the air filter.

2. Comprehensively check the whole device of the generator set. The connection shall be firm and the operating mechanism shall be flexible.

3. Check whether the cooling water tank has been filled with cooling water and whether the pipeline has leakage or blockage (including air resistance).

4. Check whether there is air in the fuel injection pump, turn on the fuel switch, loosen the oil pump bleeder screw on the fuel transfer pump, drain the air in the fuel pipeline, and tighten the bleeder screw.

5. Check whether the oil is full. The oil should be soaked until the vernier ruler is full.

6. Ensure that the output switch of the generator set is off.

7. Confirm that the battery of the generator set is in the fully charged state (if it is not used for a long time, the battery is prone to power shortage).
