Correct Maintenance Way for Oil Delivery Pump of Silent Diesel Generator

The fuel pump of the diesel generator set is a single-acting piston type, installed on the side of the fuel injection pump, and driven by the eccentric wheel on the fuel injection pump shaft. Its function is to suck fuel from the fuel tank, raise the fuel pressure to a certain extent, to overcome the resistance of the oil passing through the filter, and maintain continuous delivery of diesel with a certain pressure and flow to the fuel injection pump. The common structures of silent diesel generator fuel pumps are cycloidal rotor type, mechanical vane type and plunger type.

Before installing the fuel pump of the silent diesel generator, check whether the model and specification are correct, and remove the anti-rust oil. The thickness of the selected gasket should be appropriate to prevent the piston from being stuck or not running in place due to being too thin or too thick. The tightening torque should be uniform when tightening the bolts to prevent damage to the fuel pump.

The core of the coarse filter screen in the fuel pump connector is easily blocked by dirt such as cotton wool. It should be checked and cleaned frequently. The damaged filter screen must be repaired or replaced in time. If there is a rubber sealing device between the hand oil pump piston and the hand oil pump body on the fuel pump, do not remove it at will. If the rubber ring is damaged, replace it in time.

The hand oil pump must be pressed back after use, and the button shall be tightened to prevent the hand oil pump and rubber ring or the ball valve and valve seat from causing air intake or oil leakage due to loose pressure. Ensure that the "four springs" of the plunger oil delivery pump are normal. "Four springs" refer to piston spring, tappet (roller) spring, oil inlet valve spring and oil outlet valve spring. If the spring elasticity is weakened or broken, it should be replaced or padded in time for adjustment.

Ensure that all sealing gaskets are intact, the plastic ring should not be disassembled too often, and should be replaced regularly. Some fuel pump bodies are provided with oil drain holes, which are used to make a small amount of diesel leaked from the fuel pump directly flow out of the pump body. Do not plug the hole to prevent diesel from entering the fuel injection pump sump to dilute the lubricating oil.

If there is too much diesel oil in the oil sump of the fuel injection pump, timely check whether the clearance between the piston and the pump body, the tappet and the tappet sleeve of the fuel injection pump is too large, and timely deal with the excessive clearance, so as to prevent the lubrication of the internal parts of the fuel injection pump and governor due to serious diesel leakage.

When the silent diesel generator is shut down for a long time, rust prevention measures must be taken to prevent the mating surfaces of the fuel injection pump, especially the piston and pump body, tappet and tappet sleeve from rusting due to water in the oil (during shutdown, replace the lubricating oil with water, diesel and other impurities in the oil sump of the fuel injection pump).
