Do You Know How the Diesel Generator Set Starts

Diesel generator set is widely used in various fields closely related to us. Generally speaking, there are two ways to start diesel generator set, one is manual start and the other is automatic start. So do you know how these two startup modes are started respectively? 1、 Pre start check.

Before the inspection, for the diesel generator set with "automatic switching" function, in order to ensure safety, first place the generator start switch in the "manual" or "stop" position (or remove the connecting cable between the battery negative pole and the generator), and after the inspection, be sure to return it to the "automatic" position.

Check whether the oil level is within the scale, if not, add the same type of oil to the position within the scale, and check whether the fuel is enough.

Check whether the coolant is about 8cm below the water tank cover. If not, add soft water to the above position.

Check whether the electrolyte level is about 15mm on the electrode plate. If not, add distilled water to the above position.

Clean up the site of the generator set to ensure that the cooling ventilation channel is smooth.

Ensure that the main air switch of diesel generator set is in "off" state, and confirm whether the connection with "utility" has been disconnected.

Whether the belt is properly tightened.

2、 Manual start

After the diesel generator set is checked to be normal, press the manual mode, and then press the confirmation key to start the unit normally.

If the diesel generator set fails to start, restart after 30 seconds, and fails to start for three consecutive times, find out the cause and remove the fault before starting again.

After successful startup, check whether there is abnormal noise and vibration, whether there is oil leakage, water leakage and air leakage, and whether there is abnormal display on the control panel. Whether the oil pressure reaches the normal range (60 ~ 70psl) within 10 ~ 15 seconds after starting the diesel generator. If there is any abnormal phenomenon, it should be handled. After it is normal, turn on the main air switch of the diesel generator to start power supply.

3、 Manual shutdown.

Press the stop button on the control panel to stop the unit.

In case of emergency, press the emergency stop button immediately.

4、 Auto start.

Reset the buttons on the control panel.

Press the auto switch once and the unit will enter the standby mode.

Turn on the main air switch of diesel generator.

The diesel generator will start and deliver power in 5 ~ 8 seconds when the "mains" power is cut off.

If the diesel generator set cannot start automatically, press the red emergency stop button on the control panel to find out the cause and remove the fault before starting.

5、 Automatic shutdown.

When the "utility power" calls, the dual power conversion will automatically switch to "utility power", and the diesel generator will stop automatically after 3 minutes of no-load operation.
