1.Generator room noise reduction

The main noise source of the diesel generator set is generated by the diesel engine, including exhaust noise, mechanical noise and combustion noise, cooling fan and exhaust noise, air inlet noise, generator noise, noise generated by the transmission of foundation vibration, etc.

Sound insulation felt is a simple and fast sound insulation material commonly used in sound insulation engineering, made of polyvinyl chloride and iron powder. Although it is a material for soundproofing of generator walls, soundproofing felt plays a connecting role in the soundproofing of generator walls, connecting shock absorbers and keels. 2.Sound insulation scheme for generator room walls:

(1) Shock absorber

Generator noise is vibration noise, and this low-frequency noise can spread through the building structure of the generator room, with a significant impact. Based on the genset's situation, vibration reduction equipment or foundation should be installed at the bottom of the generator set to avoid structural transmission of equipment vibration. Due to the presence of a generator room, other issues such as mechanic noise and air noise from generators can be addressed through soundproofing and decoration of the generator room.

(2) Sound insulation in the generator room

To achieve the goal of noise reduction through soundproofing and decoration of the generator room, first use soundproofing materials to decorate the walls around the computer room, as well as ceiling lights. Due to the fact that the main noise of generator equipment is low-frequency noise, it is necessary to lay damping materials such as shock absorbers on the ground.
