Noise Reduction of Standby Silent Diesel Genset Room

Precautions for noise reduction of standby silent diesel generator room.

1. Noise reduction of entrance and exit of silent generator set room:

Each diesel generator room has more than one access door. From the perspective of silencing, the door of the machine room should not be set too much. Generally, one door and one small door are set. In terms of structure, metal is used as the frame, sound insulation materials are attached inside, and metal iron plate is used outside. The silencing door is closely matched with the wall and door frame.

2. Noise reduction of soundoroof diesel generator air inlet system:

When the diesel generator works, there must be enough air intake to maintain its normal operation. Generally, the air intake system should be set directly opposite the exhaust outlet of the unit fan. According to our experience, the forced air intake method is adopted for the air intake, and the air is pumped into the machine room by the blower through the silencing air slot.

3. Noise reduction of exhaust system of diesel generator:

When the diesel generator is cooled by the water tank fan system, the amount of radiator in the water tank must be discharged out of the machine room. In order to prevent the noise from going out of the machine room, the exhaust silencing duct must be set for the exhaust system.

4. Noise reduction of exhaust system of standby low noise diesel generator outside the machine room:

After the exhaust of diesel generator is silenced by the exhaust silencing duct, there is still high noise outside the machine room. The exhaust must be silenced by the silencing duct set outside the machine room, so as to reduce the noise to the low limit

The outside of the silencing air duct is a brick wall structure and the inside is a sound-absorbing board.

5. Diesel generator exhaust silencing system:

For the noise generated by the exhaust gas emitted by the diesel generator, we add a sound box in the exhaust emission system of the diesel generator, and wrap the exhaust silencing pipes with fireproof rock wool materials, which can not only reduce the heat emission of the diesel generating set into the machine room, but also reduce the working vibration of the unit, so as to achieve the purpose of noise attenuation.
