Output Power and the Operating Environment of Diesel Generators

Depending on the type of engine installed, the fuel can be diesel or gasoline.  The reliability design and deformation degree of components can be directly derived from the product quality of components.  Leaded fuel should not be used because it can cause combustion to form particles that can cause engine failure.  Dingbo Power generator manufacturer commented on the following comments and suggestions:

（1）Ambient air operating temperature 0℃-40℃；

（2）The altitude does not exceed1000m；

（3）The relative humidity of the air is not more than 95%（Operating temperature is 25℃）；

Relationship Between Output Power of Diesel Generator and Operating Environment

When the working temperature is too high, the air density is greatly reduced, diesel engine combustion oxygen becomes less, combustion performance decreases, so that the diesel engine will reduce the rated power of mechanical equipment;  At the same time, the cold air is needed to cool the windings. When the working temperature is too high, the cooling performance is greatly reduced and the working temperature inside the windings of the generator is increased. In order to ensure that the working temperature of the windings of the generator is within the allowable range, the rated power of the generator must be greatly reduced.  As the altitude increases, the space-time air density will also greatly decrease, which also interferes with the rated power of diesel engines and generators.  

Although the selection of diesel generator set under low temperature environment and in high humidity area will not cause a significant reduction in the rated power of the unit, it is necessary to pay attention to the difference in the selection of site environment and may interfere with the conventional selection conditions of the unit.  

When the unit is selected under non-standard environment conditions, the user shall carry out correction according to the power conversion method of the unit.  The environmental environment has different interference to the rated power of different brand units, so that the modified parameters of rated power of different brand units are different as the environmental environment changes.  

Use the gasoline recommended in the manufacturer's instructions for the gasoline generator.  Four-stroke engines use pure gasoline, and two-stroke engines use a mixture of gasoline and oil.  For engines with transverse valves, use gasoline with an octane number of 77 or higher (A-80, AI-92, AI-95, AI-98).  If the generator engine has a valve (OHV marking), the octane number of the fuel should not be less than 85(ai-92、ai-95、ai-98)。
