Precautions for proper Use of Weichai diesel generator set

1. Before starting the diesel generator, visually inspect the generator and generator room to see if there is any abnormality.

2. The preheating time shall be adjusted according to the temperature of the diesel generator set, and it can work continuously within 50 seconds before and after starting.

3. The turning on time of the starting motor must be fast, and then the coil of the starting motor will be cut off for 80 seconds to prevent overheating of the starting motor.

4. Do not use similar items such as jet fluid to assist in engine starting. This may cause an explosion in the intake pipe, posing a risk of personal injury.

5. After successful startup, check whether the instrument and alarm display values are normal.

Adjustment ways of Weichai diesel generator sets

1. Adjustment of oil pressure

There are generally two lubrication methods for diesel generator sets: pressure lubrication and splash lubrication. Too low or too high oil pressure will affect the lubrication quality of diesel generator sets. Therefore, the oil pressure of diesel generator sets must be controlled within the specified range when working.

2. Adjustment of the regulator

During the use of diesel generator set, the pointer of charging ammeter will not move, and the charging current is too large or too small. If the charging current of the battery is too high, it will shorten the service life of the battery; If it is too small, the battery cannot be charged on time. When the diesel generator set is working, if it is found that the charging current displayed by the charging ammeter is too large, the current limiting spring of the regulator should be adjusted to shorten the spring, then the current will decrease, otherwise the current will increase. During the adjustment process, be careful not to exert too much force and gently touch it until it meets the requirements.

3. Adjustment of fan belt

If the fan belt of the diesel generator set is too tight, the wear of the bearing of the direct alternator, the bearing of the water pump, and the bearing of the fan will increase. If the belt is too loose, the air volume of the fan will be insufficient, which will affect the cooling effect of the cooling water. At the same time, the output voltage of the generator will decrease, and the flow of the water pump will decrease, which will not meet the operating requirements. So, it is necessary to adjust the fan belt according to the usage requirements.

4. Pressure reducing adjustment of diesel engine

During the use of the diesel generator set, it is often difficult to start due to the weather or insufficient battery power. At this time, the operator can reduce the compression ratio, improve the starting resistance and start the diesel generator set by reducing the pressure of the diesel engine inlet valve.
