What Should We Do Before Start Emergency Generator

The start-up of emergency generator does not only refer to pressing the start-up button. In order to ensure the safe and efficient operation of genset, it is necessary to check whether it meets the start-up requirements. So, what should we do before start emergency generator? 1.Clean the dust, water mark, rust and other matters attached to emergency generator, and remove the oil and dirt in the air filter;

2.Inspect the whole device of diesel generator set comprehensively. The connection shall be tight, the operating mechanism shall be flexible, and the crankshaft rotation shall be free of stagnation;

3.Check whether the cooling system is filled with coolant and whether the water pump is filled with suction water. Whether the pipeline has leakage or blockage (including air blockage);

4.Check whether the fuel storage in the fuel tank meets the requirements. Open the fuel switch, loosen the bleed bolt of the high-pressure oil pump, remove the air in the fuel pipeline, and tighten the bleed bolt;

5.Check whether the oil level is between the two marks on the oil dipstick, and whether the fuel pump and governor have enough oil;

6.Check the reliability and flexibility of the connection between governor lever and oil pump rack, and check whether there is enough oil;

7.Check whether all electrical circuits (including charging and starting circuits) are connected correctly and in good contact;

8.Check the pipe joints of diesel engine supply, lubrication and cooling system for water leakage and oil leakage;

9.All components in the control panel shall be complete, clean, free from damage and looseness;

10.Fill the water tank (i.e. radiator) with coolant;

11.Check that the wiring from generator to the switch panel is correct, and the negative load is connected to the control panel through the double throw switch, which should be isolated from the power grid (the air circuit breaker is open, which should be in the short circuit position; The U, V and W ends of the generator correspond to the bus bar of the control panel);

12.Check whether the position of each switch on the control panel is normal, the main switch should be in the opening position, and the control panel with automatic voltage regulation should be in the manual position.

1.Check the diesel generator set for leakage.

2.Check that the lubricating oil level is normal.

3.Check the cooling water level.

4.Check the oil level of the storage tank and daily fuel tank.

5.Check that the local position selection switch is in the automatic position, the working power switch of the security section is in the closed position, the indicator light is on, the position of the emergency stop button is correct, and there is no alarm indication on the control instrument panel.

6.Check that the battery charging indicator is on and the voltage is normal.

Test of the second diesel generator

1.The local start-up test of diesel generator set is carried out on a day shift on a single Sunday.

2.Double Sunday morning shift, remote start test of diesel generator set.

3.Before starting the engine, do the diesel engine start with load test.
