There are many holes and planes on its surface and inside, which are used to install various parts, such as the cylinder liner. The crankcase is used to support the crankshaft. The upper part is equipped with radiator and oil tank, and the lower part is equipped with oil pan. The cylinder block is also cast with water channel and drilled with oil channel.

(2) Cylinder liner.

The inner wall of the power cylinder liner of the diesel generator is the reciprocating track of the piston. It, together with the top of the piston, the cylinder pad and the cylinder head, forms the combustion chamber space, which is the place for diesel combustion and gas expansion.The power of small single cylinder diesel generator mostly uses wet cylinder liner, that is, after pressing into the cylinder block, the outside of the cylinder liner is in direct contact with the coolant. Two ring grooves are generally made on the boss of the lower part of the cylinder liner. Rubber water seal rings with good elasticity, heat resistance and oil resistance are installed in the ring grooves to prevent coolant from leaking into the oil pan and causing oil deterioration.

(3) Gear housing cover and gear housing.

The power gear cover of diesel generator set is made of gray cast iron or aluminum alloy, which is installed on the side of cylinder block. The gear cover is equipped with a fuel injection pump, a pump wrench seat, a speed regulating lever, a starting shaft bushing, a crankcase ventilation device, and a fuel injection pump observation hole for observation when installing the fuel injection pump.

There are crankshaft gear, camshaft gear, governor gear, balance shaft gear and starting shaft gear in the gear chamber. There are meshing marks on the end face of each gear, which must be aligned during installation. If the timing gear is assembled incorrectly, the power of diesel generator will not work normally.

(4) Crankcase and ventilation.

The crankcase is the cavity in which the crankshaft rotates. Small diesel generator power to the crankcase and cylinder block cast into one. In order to prevent the splashing oil leakage when the crank rotates at high speed, the inner cavity of the crankcase must be sealed.When the diesel generator works, some compressed gas in the cylinder will leak back into the crankcase, which will increase the gas pressure in the crankcase and cause oil leakage. (5) Oil pan.

The oil pan is usually made of steel plate stamping. It is installed in the lower part of the cylinder block, and the crankcase is closed to collect and store oil.
